Finding my art style

When the Pandemic started in 2020 I was six months into a full time job, and about seven months out of art school. The days were so frenzied, uncertian, and hazy, that I found myself in desperate need of an artistic reset. I dropped any type of art that would feel constricting and started indulging in colorful, pretty paintings. I used gouache and watercolor and made fanart, still-lifes, animals, little scenes, anything that felt happy, and fun, and satisfying.

I was finally having fun again. Small glimmers of fun in those alienating days when the world was shut down.

This became the foundation of the work I turned into my first series of art prints, as well as the work I make now.
